Product Compositions – New From NedFox available now for RetailVista Mobile
NedFox are proud to announce a new function available now for RetailVista mobile; Product Compositions. This function is specifically designed to help you accurately cost and sell “potted up” plants by scanning the generated “composition barcode” which can be placed on the pot.
As a potted up plant is generally lower than the normal price of the separate products, RetailVista with weigh and book “the discount” element between the underlying products. Of course the stock amounts of product used in a potted up plant will be lowered, additionally you will be warned if your sale price is less than if the individual items and quantity’s are sold, which is a helpful guide to ensure you don’t lose any margin.
Plant / Basket + Pot + Soil + Labour = Composed Pot / Basket.
A typical Product Composition would be “Small Pot, 0.10 of a soil bag, a plant and some labour”.
You may have small to large pots, small to medium Orchid pots, and houseplant pots and more. Each size and type of pot can be created as a template, where the template already includes the known costs of the pot, the soil amount required and the time taken, so is simply ready to accept a plant to be added to it for sale.
As an example, a template for a small pot could be created. This example template is always composed of 1 pot, 0.10 of a bag of soil, and always takes £5 amount of labour to plant up.
You can now create Product Compositions easily from RetailVista mobile on the shop floor, not stuck behind a PC. From the mobile device you can find your template for the pot required, add the required plant to the template and save to create a new saleable product.
Finally print the barcode and place on the pot, and cashiers only need to scan this barcode and RetailVista will take over understanding its composition.
