RetailVista at Jones’ Garden Centre
The Jones family have been serving the local communities of Swords, Donabate and the wider Fingal in Ireland for over 40 years now. In 1975, John and Eileen Jones started it all with a “pick your own” fruit farm open to the public. The business of pick your own boomed and the Jones Fruit Farm became an established and trusted household name in County Dublin.
In 1994 Jones’ Garden Centre opened its doors for the first time and continues to flourish as a garden centre much beloved by its visitors. Today, they offer a modern climate controlled 3000m2 glasshouse plant area, indoor area for sundries and gifts, and the excellent; Mrs Jones Farm Kitchen cafe.
With a successful business comes the need for more cost effective and time saving efficiencies in working. Recognising that Jones needed to modernise the EPoS infrastructure away from their previous solution, owner Carl Jones approached NedFox to see how RetailVista could help him achieve his businesses goals for the coming years.
At the time of writing Jones have been operating RetailVista for around 4 weeks. Due to travel restrictions and lockdowns, we performed all the installation and training remotely through video calls, email and WhatsApp! With the NedFox team based in both Holland and expanding in the UK, we were able to get the business up and running on RetailVista without stress or hassle and kept sensible training and installation schedules to ensure no one was overwhelmed by the process of switching and learning.
With RetailVista operating on 4 tills Jones are now able to offer their customers an effective loyalty scheme which is fully integrated with their webshop so customers can view their loyalty points balances, sales history, and more. Stock checks, purchase orders and more are performed with the aid of our innovative industry leading EPoS app, RetailVista Mobile, available on phones, tablets and ruggedised devices.
Till sales are simple, scan a product barcode and take payment, offers and customer specific discounts are programmed in so they automatically apply. As a cloud based back office RetailVista can be extremely flexible in accessibility; one hosting licence for the back office allows for unlimited users and access from anywhere in the world to your sales and data. Jones use many more functions such as customer accounts and invoicing and will soon be launching their own in-house giftcards. Also, further and complete webshop integration will be finalised over the coming weeks too.
